Family Table Approved — Why We're Bringing Our Beef Directly to Yours

There's something that happens when you raise your own food. You don't just eat differently — you think differently. Every meal means a little more when you know exactly where it came from, how it was raised, and who was behind it.

Our family has been raising cattle for four generations. Long before Ackerman Acres Meats existed as a business, we were filling our own freezer with beef we raised ourselves. Our boys have grown up eating it. It's what we put on our table for holidays, weeknight dinners, and everything in between. It's what we feed the people we love most.

For years, our cattle went to feedlots and auction barns. That's how the industry works — you raise them, you sell them, and they disappear into the system. Someone else finishes them, processes them, and puts them on a shelf somewhere. You never know where they end up or whose table they land on.

That never sat right with us.

We started Ackerman Acres Meats because we wanted to do something different. We wanted to take the same beef we trust enough to feed our own family and bring it directly to yours — no middlemen, no mystery, no mass-produced product sitting next to imports from who knows where.

When you order from us, you're not buying from a brand. You're buying from a family. You can reach out to us directly. You can ask questions. You can know exactly where your beef came from and how it was raised. That's the kind of relationship we want to have with every family we serve.

Allen and I talk about this all the time — the feeling of knowing that what we do out here in the Sandhills of Nebraska ends up on someone else's dinner table. It's a responsibility we don't take lightly. It's actually what drives us. Raising food for other families gives our work a purpose that goes beyond the ranch.

So when we say our beef is family table approved, we mean it literally. We ate it last night. We'll eat it again tomorrow. And we think your family deserves the same.
